up in the air, read this, not that

confession #1 (image-building):

there’s always some super-cool, super-intellectual, super-duper glossy title, and/or some obscure, mind-stretching, yes-i-can-make-through-it paperback in my lap when the airplane is ready to take off.

and i am only as snobbish as the other guy:   i actually want to know stuff, and be rightfully stimulated by it.

and when a better time than on a 2.5 hr flight across Europe, extra leg space, and no mobile phone ringing or addictive send/receive.

hence  the stack.

confession #2 (image-sinking, red cheeks):

my mind always manages to slip away, and i inevitably – and quite fast, to be perfectly frank – fall asleep.

which can either be the workload taking its toll (so i am fully excused), or the stimulus is so strong that my mind needs to tune out to focus… something.

so if your stack is the same height and depth as is mine, but (!) your sleeping habits are not as close to that of a new-born, and on top of that you’re bursting of worries and boredom every time you get past that check in… here’s a refreshing slap in the face take on airplane reading (which is a fine read in its own right).

not tested, but hey, just trying to help, yeah?
