your mornings will never be the same*
(*guaranteed!)
who am i to talk about waking up. i am exactly the patient in (Dr.) Barna’s case study: i put my alarm clock for 8 AM, then leave it on snooze every 15, finally turning it off 9 AM-ish. and then i roll in bed some more.
i know, i know. just for the record: not proud of it.
this being said, you have 1 (one) single thing to learn from me on the topic. the ultimate wake-up-and-shine secret, if you want.
i learned it once, many years ago, and despite my total lack of discipline in the matters of morning rising, i know and practice this one secret only, and it works wonders. literary.
the secret is: smile.
that’s it.
to be more exact and applicable: the very first thing you do when you wake up, whenever wherever and with whoever, whatever is there upcoming in the day, always start your day with a smile. the widest possible. i am serious.
first couple days or weeks it will come hard; for some, the extra grumpy kind, super hard. make an effort, and force your muscles in a grin. a mechanical exercise to begin with, it will feel fake. and it’s normal to. it takes practice. persist. until it grows into a routine, when your lips automatically slide apart in the happiest of silly smiles. one of the best routines out there, if you ask me. a life-changer.
i AM serious.
smile, silly.
and tell me of results.

Is this a hit for me?
hahaha. yes, a hit of morning positivity ;)
