A bit of context about the economy!

The economy is one of my passions because I strongly believe that economic development is interconnected to human development.

Of course if you are closely watching the news these days (or your bank accounts) you might not be fond of the economy much!

But still, it’s an essential part of life and the way the world works and I think it’s times like this that makes it all the more important for people to want to find out what the economy and money is all about. I recently ran into this fine piece of documentary work by: Niall Ferguson

It’s called The Ascent of Money and in over 6 hours it takes you through the most important moments in the history of money. Quite an exceptional piece of documentary work which I highly recommend to anyone that wants to understand a bit more about how the world works from a financial/economic point of view.
